Itinerary

  • Discover Diocletian’s Palace in Split

Welcome to Split, one of the oldest cities on the Mediterranean that holds valuable masterpieces from the late antiquity. Your first day starts with a briefing followed by a hike on Marjan hill, a unique forest area often called the „lungs of the city “. For lunch, stroll down the alleys of Diocletian’s Palace and enjoy one of the many restaurants serving fresh Mediterranean food. Check-in will be in the afternoon, where you will get to know your sailing boat and skipper. After check-in set sail to island Brač.

Info: The tour starts with the check-in on your sailing yacht at 5PM. If your arrival time allows, we will meet with you in the morning to have an orientation talk and briefing regarding the upcoming adventure holiday. Later, depart for the hike on Marjan hill and explore the historic city of Split and its Diocletian’s Palace.

Evening boat mooring: Split or island Brač
    Optional activities:

    • Self-guided hiking tour Marjan, distance 7 or 14 km (no cost)
    • Self guided walk along Diocletian’s Palace, distance 2 - 3 km (optional entrace fee Diocletian’s Palace basement EUR 6 per person)
  • Island Brač and Blaca Hermitage

The morning starts with a short sail to the lovely beach in Blaca bay on island Brač. The island’s authentic trademarks are wine and olive production as well its beautiful white stone used for building houses, palaces and fortresses… Our suggestion for today is a short hike to the nearby desert Blaca, where a famous monastery was founded in 1551. Besides its great history, this monastery represents one of the best stone architectural works on Brač. The trail from the beach to the monastery is about 2 km long. Later in the day, we will pass the famous Golden Horn beach near Bol town. We will have time for swimming and snorkeling before we set sail from Bol to island Hvar.

    Evening boat mooring: Island Hvar
    Optional activities:

    • Self-guided hiking tour, distance 4 km (entrance ticket approx. EUR 6 per person)
  • Exploring the island of Hvar

Start the day with coffee in one of the numerous charming squares in Jelsa, a fishermen village located on the northern shores of island Hvar. To reach our final destination on the south side of the island, which is Hvar town or a nearby bay, you can choose between several options: either stay on the boat to sail and explore the coast, deserted lagoons and crystal-clear waters or decide for one of our optional island adventures, a guided bike tour or island tour with guide/driver and vehicle. Both tours will give insight to amazing vistas and the most authentic areas of the island; AGER – cultivated plain founded by Greeks in the 4th century BC and nowadays declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, traditional villages, Stari Grad – one of the oldest towns in the Adriatic, lavender fields and laid back island lifestyle.

Evening boat mooring: Island Hvar or Pakleni islands
    Optional activities:

    • Guided bike tour island Hvar: cycling distance 24 km, duration: 3 - 4 h (EUR 60 per person)
    • Island Hvar tour with guide + vehicle. Duration: 4 - 5 h (EUR 75 per person. Min 4 persons per tour)
  • Hvar town and Pakleni Islands

After breakfast on board choose one of your daily adventures; enjoy sea-based activities among the Pakleni Islands, depart for a sea kayaking tour or wander the cobble stoned streets and walk up to the Španjola Fortress for one of the best views over Hvar town. The red roofs and the town walls of Hvar with a view over the Pakleni Islands archipelago, the bustling port of Hvar and the historic fort is a picture you will never forget. Before you set sail to island Vis, take one last espresso or aperitif on Hvar’s main piazza and its surrounding Renaissance architecture and watch the world go by. Soak up the vibes from one of the most picturesque squares in Europe – St. Stephens square or pjaca as the locals call it.

    Evening boat mooring: Island Vis
    Optional activities:

    • Self-guided walk Hvar and Španjola Fortress: Distance 2 or 9 km (Entrance fee EUR 6 per person)
    • Sea kayaking tour: duration 3 - 4 h (EUR 55 per person)
  • Issa: Greek Colony Vis

Welcome to the mysterious and remote island of Vis, the furthest of the main central Dalmatian islands. It was founded by the Greeks in the 4th century B.C. and was closed for foreign visitors until 1989 as it was an important Yugoslav army base. Vis is even today mysterious and a place where the traditional and authentic way of island lifestyle has remained intact.

In the morning you can walk and explore Vis bay or depart for the military tour. In the afternoon depart to the eastern side of the island and enjoy sailing, swimming and snorkeling in one of the many stunning bays of the Vis archipelago.

    Evening boat mooring: Island Vis
    Optional activities:

    • Self-guided hiking tour: distance 12 km (no cost)
    • Military tour: Duration 4 h (EUR 40 per person)
  • Arrival to Zagreb

Today you will explore the coastal areas of Vis. We suggest visiting the Green and Blue cave as well as one of the last fishermen villages in the Adriatic – Komiža! The island has a unique combination of wild nature and extraordinary history as well as some of the greatest beaches in Croatia. As the Lonely planet guide stated Vis is “Croatia’s top destination for gastronomes” so definitely check out our dining recommendation list.

    Evening boat mooring: Island Vis
    Optional activities:

    • Self-guided hiking tour: distance 12 km (no cost)
    • Duration 4h (EUR 40 per person)
  • Honey and olive oil of island Šolta

It is incredible how island Šolta, which is so close to Split, remained so secluded until today. The simple way of living is complemented by good food, fishing, wine and olive oil production, playing balote (bowls or bocce balls) or just playing cards in the shade of an oak tree. No matter what you do, the serenity of the island gives you a magical feeling of timelessness and freedom. Since you are not on the island forever but just for the day, you might want to take the optional tour to the local honey farm in Grohote or take the olive oil tasting tour.  There is a lot more Bees give than just honey. Learn with Tvrdic family, who are involved in beekeeping and making honey for many years and taste their homemade products. Give bees a chance!
